| A few days after my first child was born, I found red, bloody stuff in her diaper. I was speechless and guilty when told that the red stuff was fibers, coming from her red fleece blanket. Later, I sewed a cotton calico cover for the fleece. It became lint free, but lost its softness. |  Anything that comes off a baby's blanket easily will find the way to her mouth naturally. |
I seached hard for something that is lint-free, soft and cuddly, but without much success. One day I was enlightened suddenly. I remembered how all the pregnant women in my hometown (including my sister and sister-in-law) busied themselves knitting for their babies using cotton yarns. Yes, nothing is softer than knits. I concluded my quest: knitted blankets with low lint cotton yarn are the best baby blankets that I have been searching for.
In spring of 2006, I decided to share my findings by producing a special line of clean knits for babies. After many days-n-nights' testing, designing and crafting, this unique line of SilKy Cotton Babyknits was born. I hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed designing and making them.
